I got knocked up quickly 2nd time around too but got miscarriagepwned and then it took like 6-7 months for things to go back to normal. I never believed in it before but started doing acupuncture and got pregnant that cycle. Placebo effect or not, who cares. I wanted to go that route before more invasive procedures.
Your wife might want to try it assuming it’s covered by insurance(mine is $10 copay).
