They just have them treat with doctors and hope some of them get MRIs, injections, or surgery. Most of their files end up being chiropractic only and settling < 8K. My files on the other hand are all worked up like crazy and I generally get tens of thousands of dollars on the average case.
I have 2 full time paralegals now, but I had only 1 until a few months ago.
My life goal is to retire with enough passive income to not worry about money and spend time with my family. My family is by far the most important thing in the world to me. I don't really care about money that much. I should be able to hit total financial independence around 38-40 (which would be like 8-10 mil). At that point I'll probably have someone run my firm and collect passive income from that. |

He graduated first in his law school from a T50 school and then opened his own practice 40 years ago. Fun fact: his law partner is his ex-wife (he's been married four times). My mom has been with him 15 years and they seem to be good to go until they die.
Other than that, my uncle is a shady immigration lawyer (who is currently suspended), and one of my cousins is a trial attorney for CalTrans. That's pretty much it. |

My real dad is a radiologist, but I haven't spoke to him since law school. My parents divorced when I was 11 and I never really had a great relationship with him. |

85% of cases settle prelitigation. Plus most of the job in PI is just having good people skills, working up the case (basically getting the right treatment) and negotiating. I'm really good at that and LOVE doing mediations and negotiating settlements. |
