Tried to potty train a little after he turned 2 and it just ended up being a lot of tears and him holding it in. Will try again after new baby is here since no point in doing so 3 months before new one and he’ll just regress.
He already wants to be a baby and started crawling around the house making goo goo gah gah noises and wanting to use the baby bottles I took out. Also the other night he said to me “hold me like a baby mommy.” I rocked him for a long time and then cried like a baby myself afterwards. I feel kinda sad that we won’t have all that one on one time anymore. |

Sounds like his first is a pain in the ass, but could be normal toddler behavior of toddler who spends all his time with nannies/preschool and gets only small 1-2 hour pockets of attention from parents.
Our first was really easy and so #2 felt like 3x-4x the work if not more. We also have two boys and almost the exact same age gap. Overall I'm more thankful that my oldest is so chill and positive, since he's a good influence on the younger one. We have close family that have it the other way around and it drives them crazy to see their younger, nicer kid being turned into a shit because they idolize their asshole older sibling. |

first time around sucked. she was in labor for like 15 hours and then they gave up trying to pull him out and just cut. |

We just hired a nanny for the infant to help my aging mother for $50k/year once I go back to work. Son goes to $20k daycare/preschool. A lot of money. |
