This will slowly change the character of large parts of Mexico and over time make it basically like living in the U.S. Private American schools will start to flourish there as more Americans with family move in. You have a bunch of retirees on a fixed income and being able to work from home will only become easier and more common. These groups will find a more Americanized Mexico really attractive. There will be kind of a wide-spread gentrification and the Southwestern US and Mexico are going to be indistinguishable from each other eventually.
