I don’t think it means much, but the Dems didn’t do a good job explaining the shutdown. Plus, the shutdown barely even matters - people visited parks, DC, etc, employees miss a half day of work, stock markets are still up, etc. Plus, most Americans support DACA but it’s simply not top of mind for a majority of Americans, and not top of mind for a big portion of Dem voters. Negotiate a DACA fix in immigration negotiations with Trump regarding the wall and other stuff.
