I've been asked for references and never give them. current job didn't care/forgot to follow up. I have good references from the last 3 years to cover me if needed. some people just have friends pretend to be a reference, but I'd be too embarrassed to ask my friends to do that. also, jazz up some fake certificate, frame it, and in the background on a photo you give them on your cover page, let the frame shine a little towards the camera so they just so see "purple medal" shadowbox or "caltech phd chem eng" and let them think they're smart confirming your resume. |
