(You know it's an odd number because each sheet has an odd and even number on it, which adds to an odd number. And you need to get to 101. Sum of an even number of odd numbers = even. Sum of odd number of odd numbers = odd.)
I don't know how to get from there to "it's exactly three pages but there are many combinations" without brute force shitmemeing it.
Something to do with the fact that the sheet numbers start at 3 and then increase by 4 ... but summing 5 of those numbers can only get you to 103 or 99 ... whereas summing 3 can get you to 101. |
