Dude and his son own a transmission specialty auto shop in are country

Literally loves Trump and almost militant about it. He really likes that TRUMP is an outsider.

Talked to him about how business was going. Said he’s seeing a significant drop in business in the last 1-2 months that he said rivals the drop during the Great Recession

I’m inclined to believe him but for the fact that this city doesn’t have significant unemployment

Some of the most forward indicators that I have (i.e the earliest of earliest recession signals) have been flashing - but I don't know if that is a good piece of data.

I am very interested in the "on the ground" signs of recessionary activity.

No, because I'm not a lawyer - but that would be a super good data point to source.

If you can get maybe a matrix of 10-15 of these Peter Lynch "on the ground" street signs of recessionary activity you can get a jump on Wall Street for sure.

Drop in demand for certain types of mass-affluent collectibles, a downtick in credit receivable quality for certain types of industrial equipment, fluctuations in industrial metal ratios.

Is he in silicon valley or nyc or something? Because most of the country is booming like mad.

I recall reading during the recession that mechanics will usually see an UPTICK in business during a recession. No one can afford a new car, so they just do what they can to keep their current one running.

Maybe business is down for him b/c people are more inclined to upgrade rather than repair right now?
