STEM seems absolutely soul destroying in the long term for anyone who is not legitimately super autistic and doesn't like being around other people. i may be smart and introverted, but coding at a computer for 8 hours all day every day seems like way too much |

But you're right, for any normal human, coding should only be a stop-gap before you move up to something else in tech. It helped me get on my feet financially. Right now I'm working on shoring up my academic credentials so I can get something that involves less coding. |
