Looks like DACA program will continue for a while as the government challenge makes it way through the lower courts:

I imagine negotiations will pick up after November. Neither side wants to budge before the elections and be seen as weak.

There's actually a good compromise I bet they take. Flake has a proposal that will grant three year extension of just DACA people in return for three years of border funding.

Sounds great to me. Even if they go back on the funding, the extension is temporary.

This basically just maintains the status quo, but republicans would waste their chance to drive a hard bargain while they have all the power, which is what Trump is trying to do.

Sure, if you believe we would ever see most of the money for border security. And the chain migration bit would've taken ten years to start.

I like this compromise better. Better chance the wall and other border security will get started.

No action is different from denied. If anything, the odds of a grant go up, since relists are granted at a higher rate. There could also be a dissent to the denial.

A delayed grant seems unlikely given that time is so short for review if it is to occur this term. Somebody might be preparing a dissent, that seems likely.

If they grant cert beford judgment I don’t see why they wouldn’t set an accelerated schedule. Last argument of the term is set for April 25, so would be almost two months if they grant this week.

Agree that granting review on a normal schedule is unlikely. We should know if they will relist it this afternoon, right?
