Just how do you think the US will be able to uncover the Kremlin's secrets, pray tell?
As if the Kremlin is going to reveal their secrets to the US?
You think the US has jurisdiction there?
The only reason for the Magnitsky act is a dead whistleblower. Good luck finding more whistleblowers.

How do you think the FBI has jurisdiction in Russia?
How did the FBI not have anything on the 'oligarchs' until a whistleblower came out?
How did the incompetent FBI let go of an investigation even when a friendly jurisdiction like Ukraine provided cooperation?

Are you under some misunderstanding that doing business deals with Russians is illegal?
None of the money laundering conspiracy theories make much sense. Buying real estate doesn’t wash dirty money. And real estate doesn’t have KYC laws like banking. You wouldn’t need to buy off the seller. You’d just buy their property.
It’s far more likely that subhuman Slavs have trashy new money sensibilities and would buy from a “brand” like trump.

Yeah, I've been telling him that. He keeps hyping up the story of this guy Rybolovlev who bought a property from Trump in 2008, but he leaves out that he also purchased properties from Sandy Weill and Will Smith. There is no particular reason why the Russians would specifically need Trump to overlook due diligence, when no one is obligated to conduct any due diligence to begin with.
So, first of all, for the case to proceed, they would have to discover evidence of money laundering in Russia (a territory in which they don't have jurisdiction and the only incidence in which such activity was exposed was by a deceased whistleblower) and then on top of that due to the lack of KYC, they would have to somehow prove that Trump knowingly understood where the money was coming from. Of course, this doesn't make much sense, since he wouldn't need to ask in the first place.
