Last summer I saw a little off-Broadway show called Ernest Shackleton Loves Me. I went in not really knowing what to expect and it ended up being a true 180. The concept, the music, the story - the entire thing was top drawer, and I've never applauded so hard in my life as I did at the end of it. Can't even think about parts of it without tearing up. I keep hoping it comes back but it looks like it won't.

Book of Mormon and Lion King were great, but that show was unbelievable.

I do not have a refined taste in theater, and I am capable of being amazed and entertained even by community theater productions.

I’ve seen some really good community theater productions. Nothing wrong with digging local theater.

There was a Steppenwolf production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf a few years back that came to Broadway. Tracy Letts was George and the show was immaculate. It’s an amazon play to see anywhere but I can’t imagine a better production than this one.
