I can hear you through the walls

Fucking

Sucking

Moaning as loud as you can

You're fucking my friend

You don't know I'm in the next room

Because we're not yet official

But I canceled my plans to hang out with you tonight

And you didn't respond to my flip phone text

You're fuckin him

Louder than you'll ever fuck me

I'm crying

But can I call it cucked?

We're not yet official

But I can hear every moan

And little did you know

4 1/2 years later you'll love me

Walking down the aisle with me

With those moans haunting me in my dreams

Though cursing and the forced sexual visuals isn't normally of interest to me, I'm a fan of the psychological snapshot these words scream under the magnifying glass. This is rawer then I can ever sculpt, and its portrayal of seeping mistrust crawls into your bones. Im unsure if this is but a reflection of your personal feelings in that moment in time, or if you've carried the resentment as it festered into this. Hopefully by the measure of comments below this is a cross of the past, and this shattering stands testament as a life study to how human we all are, for both characters involved. I love that even as a person who acknowledges progression/accepts spouses/lovers now or previous have a past and present outside their combined timeline, you can't help feeling exactly the way this presents to feel in the moment, both the betrayal and infuriation, and the spectrum of emotional inferno between. How the deviled seed of doubt still plants. Interesting how engrained that elder framework of possession, belonging, and contractual monogamy can still spill through the accelerated intricacies of the modern psyche, reducing all to puritanical rage and sadness. I'd like to see what visuals you can force outside the subject. Keep writing.
