If you throw in an hour nap, though, you can eadily go on 3-4 hours indefinitely.

Just do a little googling. Sleep is the single most underrated health component. Very, very few people function optimally with less than 7-8 hours of sound sleep every night. Long-term sleep deficits literally give you brain damage, heart disease, and overall worse life outcomes.

If you need to deprive yourself of a critical sleep cycle every night just to have enough hours in the day to get your shit handled, then you're too stupid and inefficient for your obligations.

Yes, it is horrible for you. You should aim for nine hours per night. People who boast about routinely getting 5-6 hours of sleep are lulzy. The 18 awake hours for them HAVE to be hell.

The only exception I can think of is people who somehow get two perfectly complete REM cycles - no more and no less. I've had that happen on occasion and on those days getting 6 hours feels like nothing.

I get 8 hours nearly every single night and am very slow to rise. Mentally and physically I feel substantially better than when I averaged 6 hours a night. Minimal fatigue, much more stamina, clearer thought, etc. I don’t have to “recover” on the weekends.

If I get less than 6 hours I usually end up taking a sick day or reducing my hours for the day and working from home.

Firstly, humans naturally sleep biphasically. the '7-8 hours' bullshit is the real kicker - people have been conditioned to think they should sleep at night and work during the day. They should sleep 3-4 hours at night and 1.5 or so at midday.

Slept close to 18 hours this weekend brother, feels great. I'll sleep at minimum 8 more hours tonight. GC is much less painful if you feel chipper as fuck and are not slowly dying from inflammation and poorly balanced hormones.
