I'll tell you a story. A few years ago I went through a rough patch. I was unemployed, I had gotten overweight, I went through a period where I didn't have a girlfriend for a long time. Shit happens, life is messy. During this time, I became very bitter towards society. I started reading a lot of philosophy and tuned in to various ideologues and public intellectuals. I became a self-appointed prosecutor of society. Everyone and their behavior hung in my judgment. I thought life was unfair and I had all the answers. Everyone else was the problem.
And then I had a chance occurrence. I went to a party on a whim and I was in a very good mood that day. I went to the gym earlier. And I met a very cute girl that night and she basically threw herself at me. I barely talked to her or acknowledged her. We didn't talk about politics or anything like that. We certainly didn't discuss any XO related mental illness. It was a lot of laughing and smiling. I remember her favorite band was Backstreet Boys (tee hee). I ended up making out with her and fingering her on the couch. It made me feel pretty good. I pretty much dropped all the Jordan Peterson crap after that.
The point is you gotta lighten up and learn to have fun. That one night set me down a path of self discovery. It made me realize that the reason I was so angry all the time was that what I really wanted was social acceptance and romantic success. I did have to make some big changes in my personality. They don't happen overnight. It's a long and difficult process to figure out who you are and how to project a personality that women find attractive. The bad news is that it's a long painful process, which is why a lot of guys would rather be miserable. The good news is that any thoughtful person can do it if they are brutally honest with themselves and willing to change. |

I have tried to tell him before that he will likely have to at least slightly relax this requirement. He has said in another thread that he would consider marrying a girl with <5 previous sexual partners, but that she would have to have a good explanation. Even a non-zero number that low is basically a unicorn today. He has also stated that, for whatever reason, the Catholic girls he's met at church are not really into him. They probably don't like how deep into politics he is.

Honestly I would avoid political discussions. Don't lie about yourself, but don't get into it really. A liberal woman could fall for you even if you have different politics. I'm a lib but I once dated a Trump supporter (who was sexy af). It really doesn't matter when it comes to romance. If a girl finds out your conservative and it pisses her off, just be cheeky about it, tease her and make fun of her in a playful way. "How come you're so attracted to conservatives?" Whatever you do don't delineate your politcial or religious beliefs like you're being interviewed.
Overall you just have to learn how to communicate. Since you're not looking for casual hookups, you're playing the long game. This can be an advantage as you won't come across as desperate if you're genuinely not trying to get into their pants right away. Use what you've got. Be pragmatic. There are tons of hot religious girls out there. Seriously. |
