I settled a case for 80k and 30k yesterday lol. If you're good at PI and have volume you should be settling decent cases all the time.

that's awesome. i wish i knew how to develop that kind of practice. hourly work is such a grind. I collected $15k this week and was really happy about that.

The client is a friend of mine. She was rear ended by a bigrig. She had a cervical fusion, shoulder surgery, and is having a lumbar fusion next week. Her head slammed into the steering wheel because it was a rear ender. She has positive MRI findings on her brain. Her neuropsych exam found tons of issues. She blacks out sometimes and she severe short term memory loss. She is only 35and has 4 kids. She is really fucked up.

no its about keeping doors open for the one or two big cases that come your way every year. keeping doors open means fiddling around with a lot of crap cases most of the time.

I think that is some business models. That is not my business model at all. My business model is settling a shitload of cases from 50-100K. I make seven figures hitting doubles and tripples on small/midsize cases.

When I do get one of the really big ones, if I don't settle it half way through litigation, I refer it out to a heavy hitter trial attorney. I think this model is more profitable too.

gotta cop some big verdicts here and there though to keep the good offers coming in on other cases, right?

Settle several low-six figure cases a week is a good business model.
