20 years ago you weren't part of the conversation if you weren't caught up on Seinfeld and Friends. Even 10 years ago it seemed like America was watching American Idol.
Now what? Every 2 years people watch 6 episodes of game of thrones,but otherwise we are all playing on our phones while our wife has a rerun of house hunters on inn the background. |

The decline of music has been particularly interesting. When I was in high school, we had social cliques that were fractured along our musical tastes, which in turn affected how we dressed. Kids always wore band t-shirts to school. That's certainly not the case anymore since we "live" in the digital space. |
