I was not aware this data was out there:
"In the early 1990s, the Law School Admissions Council tracked 27,000 students at nearly 90% of all accredited law schools. Of the 2,000 students attending the most “elite” law schools, 52% of blacks were in the bottom tenth of their class, compared with 6% of whites. Only 8% of blacks were in the top half of their class. Bar failure rates were also skewed; the LSAC data showed that 19% of blacks graduating from these elite schools failed the bar, compared with 3.5% of whites."

"52% of blacks were in the bottom tenth of their class"
This is pretty shocking. Consider that this probably means that a great number of black students are only *not* in the bottom 10% because there are too many black students for them to all be in the bottom 10%. E.g., if 20% of the class is black, at most 50% of black students can be in the bottom 10%.
N.B.: This stat clearly doesn't stem from blacks being dumber than whites; it's AA. I've seen nothing to indicate that a black student with a 172 lsat does any worse than a white student with a 172 lsat.

well yeah, but that's just controlling by IQ.
you could say blacks are dumber than whites if a 99th percentile white has a 172 LSAT whereas a 99th percentile black has a 160 LSAT -- then in that case the two are likely competing directly against each other at Harvard and the black student will perform worse.

Is blind grading not a thing anymore ?
University of Pennsylvania law professor Amy Wax refuses to go along with the charade, and now she’s in trouble for it. As part of a critique of race-based admissions, Professor Wax observed that black students at Penn Law “rarely” graduate in the top half of their class. Her observation is almost certainly correct, but Penn Law dean Ted Ruger declared it false without providing any evidence. (And he has access to the evidence, so his failure to reveal it is telling.) Worse, he forbade Professor Wax from teaching any mandatory first-year courses. His reasoning:
In light of Professor Wax’s statements, black students assigned to her class in their first week at Penn Law may reasonably wonder whether their professor has already come to a conclusion about their presence, performance, and potential for success in law school and thereafter. They may legitimately question whether the inaccurate and belittling statements she has made may adversely affect their learning environment and career prospects.

IANAL: On average, what kind of LSAT would it take to get an A in a 1L course?
Considering only 30~ darkies get 170 a year
