DACA and DAPA are moderate? HUD mandated disparate impact analysis was moderate? his position on national identity was moderate? his position on racial issues (travyon etc) was moderate?
where exactly did this "Obama is moderate" bullshit come from? he was a SJW and acted like one and was the most extreme president we have had in modern american history. (including trump who is governing more like a mix and match of reagan/clinton "my DACA babies")
he completely normalized concepts like white privilege, open borders/no deportation. before him dems still believed in national identity, immigration enforcement etc

exactly
he completely froze ICE and they couldn't arrest illegals unless they had committed a serious crime even if thye encountered them in daily life or through an unrelated investigation
oh what a moderate. if an illegal managed to get into the country away from the border zone then you never had to worry about ICE. he literally just ignored immigration laws because he didn't like it
Trump should sign an EO about civil rights law like what Obama did with ICE. lets see if libs like POTUS ignoring laws because of "enforcement priority" then

"they couldn't arrest illegals unless they had committed a serious crime"
ICE conducted operations yes but only to catch serious criminals i.e people who had committed violent assault, murder, rape, gang members etc
if they encountered an illegal who they were not looking for they were prohibited from detaining them even though our law clearly states that illegal entry means you get deported
Here from NYT's mouth itself
"Gone are the Obama-era rules that required them to focus only on serious criminals. In Southern California, in one of the first major roundups during the Trump administration, officers detained 161 people with a wide range of felony and misdemeanor convictions, and 10 who had no criminal history at all.
“Before, we used to be told, ‘You can’t arrest those people,’ and we’d be disciplined for being insubordinate if we did,” said a 10-year veteran of the agency who took part in the operation. “Now those people are priorities again. And there are a lot of them here.”

it's a little confusing to follow since you keep responding to yourself.
we have dueling anecdotes - a guy I actually know, who raided numerous businesses unannounced in 2010-12, and some guy who won't go on the record in a NYT story.
you guys can't seem to even get your story straight. was Obama liberal, or not?

Obama even made a website to help you out so you can get the information from ICE itself
The PEP program ran from 2015~2017 (so its possible that your source was telling the truth that he raided businesses in 2010~2012)

NAFTA is a neoliberal free trade agreement that unions hated. Wtf. It was part of BC’s third way Democratic Party that was notable precisely because it was not liberal.
Clinton “tried to pass” UH. Obama passed it.
Clinton opposed gay marriage. Obama supported it.
Clinton deported illegals or at a minimum opposed illegal immigration. Obama passed DACA.

lol yes an easily defined term on which you were grossly inaccurate is "splitting hairs."
your NAFTA babble is gibberish. NAFTA at its heart was a Republican agreement. Clinton added a shitton of environmental stuff to it that wasn't already there.
Clinton and Obama's views on gay marriage are pretty much the same. they both were against it in the 90s and early 2000s, then shifted as the public did. Clinton signed DOMA, but largely as a compromise to prevent a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage outright. Lot easier to overturn a law than an amendment.

Ok so Clinton signed NAFTA which was largely a republican agreement and that makes Clinton more liberal than Obama
And Clinton opposed gay marriage and signed a law outlawing gay marriage meanwhile Obama supported gay marriage and instructed his justice dept to support gay marriage, and the takeaway here is that Obama was more conservative than Bill Clinton on gay marriage. Got it that makes perfect sense.
And the relevant comparison is how each one governed while they were in the office. Comparing all the dem presidents now in 2018 is completely fucktarded and just a way for you to save face
And Obama juked the stats on illegal immigration and that means he was tougher on illegal immigrants. Got it.
You’re done here

Obama sought true UH which was basically torpedoed by Lieberman at the last second and the result is Obamacare which is the closest thing we have to UH. Feel free to dispute that I really don’t give a shit. Obama sought UH and got something close to it.
You’re gun control point is stupid - neither BC nor BO came anywhere close to banning guns. The AWB barely did anything and Obama supported a new one when he was in office.
So now that I’ve jumped through all of your hioops, tell us more about how Obama deported more illegals than any other president and how the fact that he supported gay marriage means he was actually more conservative on gay marriage than Clinton who signed DOMA

i agree -- my point was more that it's not that people's minds are being changed so much as people with tenuous ties to this country and its history are voting.
suppose you looked at all the voters in the USA today who either were eligible to vote in 1980 or who are the progeny of 2 people who were eligible to vote in 1980. do you think that group would vote more or less republican today than the country as a whole did in 1980?
it's an interesting question, and i'd suspect that cohort votes heavily republican.
again i'm NOT saying that immigrants and their progeny aren't part of the electorate, just that the historical electorate and its progeny haven't necessarily been convinced to vote more democrat.
--------------------------------------
think of it this way -- suppose a more liberal state like Vermont took in 500k conservative Polish immigrants over the next 20 years and became a "red" state. did Vermont become more conservative? well, yes, it did, but it's not because the GOP would have made any inroads with the people of Vermont.

"the GOP won more total house votes than the Dems in 2016."
in gerrymandered districts that are getting thrown out left and right
over 40% of the electorate now has a college degree. among those voters, 61% disapprove of Trump with 51% disapproving strongly.
old white Republicans are dying every minute, and they aren't being replaced.
now can you try to parse out that the GOP at large is in better shape than Trump is? maybe. can a Republican Congressional candidate successfully run against Trump? doubtful. not right now.

Obama gave away the internet , started a war in Syria and tried to give 10 million illegals citizenship - all without congressional Approval
I'd say that's pretty in your face
