I think I can snag an in-house counsel position at a solid PE fund - drawbacks?

I'm at back end v100 firm at below market pay, so the salary should be comparable. The billable hour is the bane of my existence. Any reason not to go for it? |

I got much wider exposure to areas outside of my specialty once I moved in house. In house lawyers at my PE clients seemed to have more diverse experience. You’ll use a law firm for it so they’ll do most of the shit stuff. You’ll just ha e to learn basic structure stuff to be able to understand what each fund needs to do slightly differently/sign off on what you’re giving investors in side letters.
