shaker heights, cleveland heights, solon, lakewood, and beachwood have been suggested as places with good schools. shaker heights seems like the best mix of community, walkability, and good academics. true? |

shaker heights tp: Shaker Heights schools >>> Cleveland Heights schools. A professional could conceivably send his kids to SH schools (even though lots will go private or Catholic); not the case with CH-UH schools. Sick houses and nice neighborhoods in both, though. |

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Shaker Heights Schools has received an A+ rating from Niche.com. The website recently released its 2017-2018 rankings of school districts throughout America. Nearby Solon conquered the list and was ranked the best school system in the country. While Shaker didn't earn that lofty accolade, it still performed well.
The 2018 rankings released this month rank elementary, middle and high schools as well as school districts.
According to Niche, the Shaker Heights City School District is the 18th best district in Ohio. With an overall grade of A+, the district received A+'s for teachers, clubs and activities, and college prep; and A's in academics, diversity, and health and safety. |
