suddenly it hit me: she could have simply been dealing with an indian "male" with a super heavy accent who was asking her which airline. i.e., he said "i take you to ... what airline?" in heavily accented english that can sound like "i take you to ... hotel." observe this probable reconstruction: https://vocaroo.com/i/s01GwntWeC1J
also consider if she were in an indian "male's" uber, she would already be at even higher than her normally astronomical sensitivity because indian "men" are universally known to be extremely creepy and quick to pipe-rape, so would have been very easy to hear what she wanted to hear. |
