you make a fair point, the risk of using a 3rd party in the cloud, but Evernote has been around for a while now and there's no evidence it's going under |

i also prefer the traditional "page view" of ms word or pages or whatever. when writing on evernote it just feels like you're writing on an endless slate without any sense of where you are on the page. doesn't feel organized.
chances are that evernote would be bought out and all the data moved to a different interface before going under completely. but i didn't like the feeling of constructing a massive hierarchy for all of my notes on an interface that i couldn't really control / which probably won't exist in its current state in 5-10 years. |
