Data Science has been a shit field for the past two years. Look at some stories on stackexchange and quora. Data Science is a cool buzz word, but for most companies does not provide any tangible value

In my experience there are two kinds of data scientist: the guy with a hard STEM ed or with natural ability who works in a somewhat elevated position with their employer, and then there's the "data scientist" who is basically a SQL admin or IT analytics person (perfect for women).
