It permitted the Democratic party to renew its focus on more than a dozen women who claim Donald Trump sexually harassed them and to call for his resignation over the events. Taken together, it all seemed as if the Democratic Party was moving toward a decision on how to position itself in the #MeToo world."
notice how destroying Franken is just a casual issue of how useful it might be for partisan politics.
