You have a simplistic, Skip Bayless level view of the sport. Simply swapping in "better" players isn't a universal net positive in every situation.
For example, Kevin Love was out, and the Cavs had perhaps their most impressive defensive performance of the playoffs. is Jeff green better than Love in a vacuum? Of course not. But against a big like Horford in the Celtics system, he might be.
