Also, if you want to be a patent attorney, having a few years as an examiner is great. I know several folks who did a few years as an examiner, went to a mediocre LS (not true TTTs, but lower T1 and T2)--often on at least partial scholarship--and then did biglaw or one of the "boutique" IP firms like Fish, Finnegan, or the like. |

meanwhile the PTO guy... he's churning $160k working at home and 8 weeks of vacation, sick time, plus pension guaranteed.
PTO guy wins in this case, it's all about that low wage compounding, and annuity into perpetuity |
