Justify looks to be real class. He breaks incredibly well- three steps out of the gate he is usually settled already into a very nice high work rate, rhythmic stride. That he gets his head down and starts churning so early is good because he seems to like front running wire to wire and certainly has the build, muscles and lungs for it.

His rider looks uncannily well suited to the horse or they look very well connected when riding together, like it is a spiritual thing between them, and on top of all this Justify is a bigger, more physically imposing horse than most all the other contenders this year.

I swore off trying to pick triple crown winners after Big Brown came up short on 09 I believe it was, but I wouldn't be too surprised if Justify placed at Belmont.

If Bravazo starts his push 2 seconds earlier, Justify loses. He's gonna be very vulnerable to the same tactic on the longer track. If it's another muddy day I'd say he's straight up fucked.

Or if the track had been three strides longer, his finishing kick was that impressive. Good magic running with justify made a wall though, or a wind break, allowing bravazo to stalk from behind and to expend less energy. Bravazo has good looking stride, if somewhat loping compared to other speedsters, and obviously great closing speed but had he went with justify and dealt with the wind resistance, I think suddenly bravazo doesn't have quite the spectacular finishing kick.

It's really something else when a horse leads wire to wire and not uncommon for great frontrunners like I think justify may be to also excel at sensing and fighting off stalkers.
