It's very unpleasant. We lived together before marriage and dated quite a few years, and her personality was stable during this time and we had almost no issues. Im generally a good judge of character and I was very careful looking out for red flags.

Also, I’m major market biglaw with a mortgage that can’t be maintained if we split up and I don’t want to uproot the kids from their friends and good schools.
