Date: May 22nd, 2018 12:45 PM Author: boyish know-it-all headpube philosopher-king My associate and I were at lunch the other day and he pointed out that the Mueller investigation was intended to investigate collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign, but no evidence of such collusion has so far come out. And yet there has been a lot of evidence of corruption at the FBI and the DOJ. Mueller ran the FBI for 12 out of the last 18 years. The FBI and DOJ were working hand in hand with the Hillary Clinton campaign to go after Trump. Apparently the FBI also was spying on the the Trump campaign. The Mueller investigation is also investigating obstruction of justice by President Trump in firing Comey. But Comey was fired on the recommendation of Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller and oversees his work. If Rosenstein is a witness or possible target of the investigation, how can he be overseeing the investigation? It seems like there is massive corruption here, but all of it gets ignored because it's being perpetrated by high level law enforcement. Date: May 22nd, 2018 12:47 PM Author: swashbuckling amber bawdyhouse keep in mind the mueller investigation is actually (the continuance of) a counterintelligence investigation. the difference between a criminal investigation and a counterintelligence investigation is that the former involves actual evidence of a crime, whereas the latter involves the investigation of a PERSON (not a crime) with no or little underlying evidence.
andrew mccarthy had a very good article on this critical point. CI investigations are almost always the purview of foreign governments -- i.e. to spy on russians. not to spy on americans. |
