Would you date a person that has beaten cancer previously?

or has a weird disease of some sort?
(You would know this prior to dating the person, it's different if you're dating a person and this shit goes down.)

there was a girl i was dating when i lived in dc; we had been going out for 2 or 3 weeks. she was going on a short trip somewhere, but wanted to have dinner before she left. so we sat outside at a restaurant and had a nice dinner. the plan was that i would go back to her place afterward.
toward the end of the dinner, she asks me, "if you were dating someone, and they got in a terrible car accident and got disfigured, would you still date them?" i replied, "gee, i don't know, it's a horrible situation to have to contemplate. it would depend on a lot of factors, like how serious the relationship was, and you never really know how you'll react in the moment. if i got permanently disfigured, i wouldn't blame a girl i was dating if she decided she wanted to move on. but i really don't know how i'd react other than it would be tragic."
she got really quiet. i paid the bill, and as we left i said, "you sure seem like you don't want me to come over anymore." and she said, "i have to pack." i said, "i guess you didn't like my answer, but that's a hell of a question to spring out of nowhere and i think you're overreacting." and we went our separate ways home.
she later apologized and i banged her a few more times before ghosting.

date? for sure
marry? depends on the cancer, the person's overall level of health and wellness outside of cancer, my age at the time of the potential relationship, etc.etc.etc.

if they were my perfect mate, yes.
if they were slightly less than a perfect mate, yes.
if they liked me, yes

No, most likely not. I like people who arent going to die soon.
Obviously if it was TMF it's different, we are already together.
