1. Tons of MBE ?'s 2. Read a bunch of MEE answers, memorize the frequently asked subjects/rules 3. The MPT appears formulaic, and should require minimal time to figure out what you need to do to crank out a suitable answer.
I would not waste time reading / memorizing outlines beyond a quick once over before diving into MC?'s and essays. |

If you seriously do a few thousand MBEs you will be able to get a really high score because you've seen so many questions similar to ones you've already done. You should be getting 100% of the conlaw MBEs right after you study: there are only so many ways to fit that subject into MC questions. The most important thing when studying MBEs is to know EXACTLY what nuance caused you to miss the question. There are a few tricks they use a lot. You need to train yourself to recognize those tricks on exam day.
If you rock the MBE, you have a lot of room to miss points on the essays. Plus your MBE knowledge will be directly applicable to at least half of your essays. |

You get a few points on the MBE subject essays and can flunk the rest. Any reasonably intelligent bro can get up to 90% on the MBE. But in retrospect, everything except for my ridiculous MBE prep was a huge waste of time. If you are in a state where you can pass just on your MBE score, you have no excuse not to go all in on MBE studying. It's an extremely teachable test. There are a pool of tricks that the MBE writers use to get people who know the black letter law to pick the wrong answers. Once you know how to spot and defeat these questions you can dominate the MBE. There will be the occasional question about some trivia in the FRCP, but it's ok to miss those.
