It's priced because of revenue potential; not actual cost/value of the car. Most state livery requirements mandate that limos have to be no older than 3yrs, so there is manufactured demand to buy these things new. After 3yrs a Navigator is basically worthless because it's no longer eligible to be used as a service car.

Water never drips on your head in a D90. On your feet (from the vent seals) on your arm (from the door seals) sure. Even when the windscreen seal is bad with a hard top it hits you in the lap.

These would probably be a good choice if you buy one like 1yr used / 10k miles. Huge depreciation hit, then it's basically priced like an Accord. Friend of mine picked up a V8 Genesis for high 20's that might as well have been new.

True, Jags hold zero value but these days aren't terrible in terms of reliability. I could go for an "R" version w/ one of their supercharged V8s. I'm in CA though, so no Carmax for me, need to buy private party so I can write a low transaction price bill of sale for registration.

The reason to buy from CarMax is their 5 years warranty. I's a great way to buy a low reliability car.

One of my co-workers bought some Lincoln (not the Conti, is there an MK or something?) that had AWD and had < 10k miles on it. It was absurdly cheap.
