and...PHANTOM MENACE is actually a good, fun movie. thats right, i said it. didnt like it first time i saw it but now i can see its a good movie. its no star wars or emprie strikes back, or even return of the jedi, but its still a good movie. ATTACK OF THE CLONES is garbage though. utter shit. and all the new star wars movies are pure shit. |

worse than jar jar, imo. jar jar is a misfire, sure, but the kid was supposed to be the central piece, and he could barely act. |

I suspect the plot didn't suck because a lot of it was held over from Lucas's original ideas for SW. After episode I, he had nothing at all left |

Date: May 26th, 2018 4:39 PM Author: Snowy Resort disagree about the dialogue and acting. only bad acting was from the kid. the dialogue is not stilted as some would argue, its mythical. it hits ancient notes. and like somebody here said, the movie looks beautiful. its gorgeous to look at. attack of the clones looks so much worse. thats when george went crazy with the digital and shot it on a digital camera that was way too early for it, everything blue screen. he pushed all this tech that wasnt even close to being ready yet. Those 2 are very unpleasant to watch on a large screen. Not sure exactly how to explain it but they're very gruff, and their performances are convincing but very mechanical. They belong in slow burner character studies with real-looking actors, not action movies with large set pieces on 30-meter IMAX screens. I'd much rather watch 2 attractive actors being chased around for 2 hours.
Arnold and Kristinna Loken were fucking on point though. Their fight sequences are extremely underrated. |
