EDC - Dakine Gemini 28L in Gray. Extremely "clean" exterior, all the organization is internal, so it's stealthy and not going to catch on anything. Nylon and zippers on this are high quality.
Sling (outdoors) - Chrome Kadet in red (180 color for this). I normally dislike slings, but the way this one is designed you can nail the fit/comfort. Material and stitching are solid and in the extremely rare event it gets fucked up, can walk it to the store in SF and get it repaired onsite.
I have a couple other bags but I wouldn't call them standout. A Mountain Hardware that I dropped their camera insert into for hiking. Good bag, no complaints, but I'm sure it's nothing stand out versus any other hiking day pack. Also, a small Kenneth Prole leather messenger that basically holds an iPad and various knick knacks that I keep in my car if I wind up in the city and will be walking around. |
