Jokes are encouraged but I am genuinely asking.
I have won a few criminal defense trials and one immigration matter, all pro bono, that my employer gets from a bar referral thing. I argued them to a fact finder and secured a favorable result with my advocacy. I am proud of the good job I did for my clients.
I sincerely cannot think of a single thing I have done in my actual career that makes me proud or happy. I have achieved a few things or I am retrospectively impressed that I made it through certain ordeals but none of those thoughts make me feel pleased with myself.

How about the worst thing?
Worked for a small firm during 1L summer. Client (fairly large company) won a judgment against an elderly woman living a pretty basic life. It was from a fee-shifting provision in a breach of contract case she lost.
She couldn't afford to pay the judgment and the company was adamant about collecting. We worked to try and repossess her car, attach her meager bank account, etc. I found it repugnant. The summer ended before we got anything so I have no idea how it turned out.
Should have quit law right there.

I'm proud of a couple of the opinions I worked on as a clerk. As an actual practicing lawyer, though? Hard to say. I've never won a life changing amount of money for anyone.
Thanks for starting my day off on a bright note.

i got a defense verdict in my first ever binding arb against a completely frivolous plaintiffs case.
i got a defense verdict in my first ever jury trial despite all 3 plaintiffs, the cross-defendant, and another witness saying my client was the one who ran the red light. i had literally no one on my side as a witness but my client and my accident reconstruction expert.

former business client of mine (who was about to go bankrupt due to a business partner who absolutely fucked him and then went into bankruptcy after we got a judgment on him) had a business loan through his former business with some piece of shit loan outfit in Los Angeles. Once the business went out of business, they tried to sue him personally on the loan. The loan was clearly to the business and not him personally, but one of the loan signature lines it just had his name and not the business, so they said it was a personal loan to him and tried to sue him.
Faggot Armenian loan company rep who thought he was hot shit flew all the way out here for the trial (this was in our small claims court so no discovery beforehand). He was a complete asshole to me on the stand, very snarky, tried to act like I didn't understand his business and implied i was dumb with the judge sitting right next to him. I then pulled out some obscure statute requiring these types of out-of-state loan companies to register with the secretary of state on some list, which their company had not registered and didn't know about.
I got my client off completely. The Armenian fucker was so pissed, pissed off at me, etc, it felt amazing.

I get a good feeling whenever I get a word of mouth client from a previous client who appreciated my service.
That and quitting my shitlaw job and starting my own firm.

Got asylum for this girl when she was 18:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaha_Dukureh
She went on to do good work afterwards and weve kept in touch.
I’ve had other pro bono asylum cases but none of the other clients were like her. There was a gay African guy who would show up to client meetings 2 hours late because he was out partying the night before. Here he was having free representation from 3 lawyers and he couldn’t get to meetings on time.
I also realized doing these cases that most lawyers are truly horrible. I’d show up to hearings where the clients’ lawyers were late and missing files. I think the batting rate for asylum cases from biglaw pro bono is like 100%. A well written brief and getting the right affidavits is often all you need.
