At its core, the show is about stories. Everything good about this season has been straightforward, mostly linear storytelling about individual characters: the James Delos backstory episode; Akane and her madame; Akechita; and MiB.
The story goes to shit when the writers get up their own ass about being prestige television and trying to outsmart the Reddit audience freeze framing every episode with closed captions on trying to crack the big mystery. Also the writers have shown they can't handle the uprising or major action scenes, as we get hordes of completely incompetent Delos security personnel acting like extras in horror movies making retarded decisions leading to their deaths. |
