also pretty interesting: they deliberately exclude, among other categories, politically and religiously motivated crime. anything from stabbing a jewish person on the street to driving a van into a crowd - not counted. odd that zero articles mentioned this when using these stats to slam Trump and defend importing a bunch of violent Islamists
