Should men always wear wristwatches?

I hated how within a year the face would always get some kind of weird scuff on it, the strap eventually tear, or the little knobs would get bent somehow. Granted they were garbage fossil brand watches.
Should I start wearing one again? Can I even be considered a man without one?

A Grand Seiko with a reserve de marche function for like $7k is my suggestion for entry level.
