I get bombarded by recruiters for pretty legit roles at good companies but am happy where I'm at - but throughout tech there are some roles where if you have 3-5+ years experience, good education, good communication skills and good experience you'll be hunted down and sought after like crazy.

The funny thing though is that most people like this that I've worked with have wagecuckery instilled in them so they aren't even really pushing their advantages to the very max - e.g. bidding war between companies, extra benefits etc. that they don't realize they would get if they had balls.

I gotta say though the worst part of my experience in 2012-2013 was Rajeev from IT selling my application information from job apps. Even though it would be tough to prove, I think that it is obvious that this goes on.

After I applied to a bunch of jobs, I started to get (and still do) an insane volume of telemarketing calls or other assorted bullshit phonecalls - most of them Indian phone scams or auto-dialers that came in through spoofed phone numbers.

The number of boomers getting pad with their cushy job yet having no discernible skill set was insane to me. Some days I would go from meeting to meeting and just be like what the fuck does she do, what does he do, etc. all day long in sheer disbelief.
