Date: December 14th, 2018 6:43 AM Author: flickering soul-stirring church It's not about them being a hardass from everything I'm told - they say it's because the govt/DEA has been cracking down on stuff like that (for years now) on over-prescribing and there's so many forms and technicalities when you prescribe certain meds, that rather than risk getting screwed over they just say fuck it I'm not even gonna prescribe it so no way I have to deal with it.
I've heard so many stories of audits and basically if they focus their attention on you you're completely at their mercy. A good amount of MD's have told me that the pendulum has swung too far the other way - there used to be those pain management clinics and just opiate mayhem - and now many doctors are actually probably too strict and aren't prescribing them like they should be - out of fear of getting fucked by DEA or avoiding hassle of everything involved. |

I was surprised that I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms either. My doctor said it was because I didn't abuse them and was actually taking less than the recommended dose.
Normally once a year or so I'll fuck something up in my back or wherever, sometimes I go in and they misdiagnose me with gout, but would always give my some hydrocodones.
The shit makes me feel like I'm wrapped up in a warm, fuzzy sleeping blanket. Would almost look forward to fucking something up.
Last couple times they've prescribed me that tramadol crap instead of hydrocodone. WTF. That's what they used to give my dog. |

I had an (admittedly laproscopic) surgery pretty recently and they gave me a bunch of opiates. I just took tylenol and smoked weed instead. Painful but I could listen to my body and monitor healing and did not risk any addiction issues.
