This is being driven mainly by a coterie of multinationals and politicians involved with them who want access to Russia's vast natural resources. Therefore, Putin has to go.
The revolution in Ukraine was related to this. Under the guise of the Ukrainian people seeking to "free themselves" from Russian influence, they revolted, wherein reality this was more about Chevron and other companies getting access and control over Ukraine's territory, pipelines, etc.
Russia had been promised by the West that they wouldn't creep up to their doorstep, which of course they did.
Basically Russia is a hold out against corporate greed. Not saying they're great or amazing people, but it's our leaders who are determined to break them, including if that means war. Most people do not want war, especially with Russia. Good luck to anyone who pokes the Russian bear. But our leaders are psychopaths blinded by greed. |
