Date: July 22nd, 2018 8:25 PM Author: Chest-beating Parlour Five Guys has a very cr business model but they’ve lost their edge with recent shift in management practices, McDonald’s will always have them beat on pure margins with our centralized practice whereas they are heavily regional supplier based hence the inconsistency in their meat fat ratio per franchise
From a product standpoint our fries are superior in every aspect and we govern much better real estate space compared to the more prole strip mall locales preferred by Five Guys franchisees |

They’ve become a glorified Burger King quality wise with our service speed
They have superior social media acumen and arguably a better non traditional selection such as chili and Caesar side salads but with always be perennial 3rd place gimmick at best now that their bread and butter of chicken products has fallen
BK tested the waters in the spicy nugget realm and failed, we’ll wait and see what the market dictates as we can establish market share growth against these so-called gourmet burger joints with our new quarter pounder |

We will still always keep a handful of locations under corporate control to dictate the ever changing needs of franchises and to test new strategies as consumer demands shift as America becomes less homogenous and increasingly more diverse |

However we had much higher expectation in the Seoul metro areas, the Asian markets as a whole have been difficult to structure specialized menu items due to the perverse nature of their diets and of course the higher margin for beef in these areas with some modicum of consistency

Our strategy has been to centralize the supply chain and ship out to regional distribution centers ala our fries etc and as you can imagine salads and fresh greens are difficult to adapt to our methodology - also one salmonella or ecoli scare out of our control can eat into an entire division
We may cede this sector in the near future and go all in on our strengths of consistency and affordably priced meals |
