i do a lot of the cooking and put my heart and soul into it. this is prob because i am a fat glutton and love eating. when my wife cooks, she just slaps together whatever she think will be edible and be the least amount of work to prepare. She doesn't think about seasoning or cooking methods or presentation.

Based on this dynamic, I candidly tell her when something she made sucks. I don't whine about it or make a big thing, but I will be honest. On the flip side I try to make a big deal when she does put in some effort and makes something pretty good.

So, he had to ask the waitress for help with the order, because he had no idea. She brings him back some sort of plate with a bunch of rolls. He looks at this food like it's the craziest fucking thing he ever saw.

The first thing he does is eat the entire thing of wasabi. I was the only one who saw it. That tough old man's eyes watered and he was obviously in pain, but he swallowed it, swigged his beer, ordered another beer, and then proceeded to eat the rest of his food without complaint.

When it was over, he thanked my parents for taking him someplace different and was generally gracious.
