The reality is that the priesthood has (probably always) relied heavily on devout little melvin duders who realize as teenagers or whatever that they aren't so into women. Assuming that we're not talking Flaming Faggots or pedos, both the Church and these dudes benefit from the arrangement.

The problem with gay child sex abuse (the one we're dealing with presently; I acknowledge that it's flared up at various times throughout history), like most of the Church's (and America's) ills, came in the 1960s when lib ideas permeated seminaries and deviant homos were allowed to pass through on the idea that everyone was salvageable.

These anti-Church fucks should remember that the Church as an institution has been the central force for Good in this world going on two millennia -- far longer than inferior startups like "Science" (mid-1500s) and "America" (late 1700s).
