Then there are not 15 cities in the US with rapid transit. There are 15 systems altogether..three of the systems are in NYC, two are in Philly, and one is in Puerto Rico.

Trick question. Just checked and there are only 15 heavy rapid transit systems in the US if you count the Staten Island Railway (which is in the same city as the NYC Subway) and San Juan Puerto Rico
