Like if I right click and "inspect" all that nerdy stuff on the right, can I learn anything about the date?

Yes, you can do this in Chrome.
On a Mac:
Open the JavaScript console ("View" -> "Developer" -> "JavaScript Console")
Click on the "Console" tab
You should see a ">" for the console. Click in this area.
Copy/paste this in the console and press Enter:
for (;;) { alert("%last_modified_date") };
