800 verbal on old one is actually harder to get than 170. |

Date: August 14th, 2018 11:30 PM Author: Startled diverse state they had to do that because suddenly everybody in China started going to GRE boot camps to get high GRE math scores to get into US PhD programs and get a green card very different to the 1990s when everybody would just stroll in and do it without major prep, more like an IQ test (I did 2 practice tests and got a good night’s sleep, that’s all) |

In the end I don't think it even mattered much, I was applying to PhD programs and as long as you're above a basic threshold it's more about research experience, grades, etc. This was early 2000s. |
