Fast and heavily processed food was nowhere near as prevalent, portions were substantially smaller, everyone was more active, and IPAs/weed were rare. Take that into account and then think about the nonexistent times you have seen man boobs on a truly lean/slim person.
You didn't see revolting chesticles in previous generations because it was unusual to be 40 lbs. overweight before late middle age. Now it's standard in college kids. Your great grandparents would have been more floored by our current widespread obesity than the social normalization of face tattoos. |
