you can rent a car yourself i suppose but i dont like driving in third world countries.
azerbaijan is much more expensive and i'd try to spend minimal time there. try to get an azeri transit visa. much cheaper |

you can do most of the stuff as day trips from yerevan and tbilisi. might be some backtracking but i prefer to stay in the same hotel.
also you can see some of that shit on the road from yerevan to tbilisi.
the only things that arent day road trips are mestia/ushguli. it's a short flight or a long-ass drive if the flight gets cancelled. it's really pretty and exotic there
we didnt go to nogorno-karabach. i think RSF did. would have been 180 but we didnt have time. |
